I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about my dressing room/closet so I thought I would do a post on about how I organized my space. There is not a lot of storage space in my home and my closet is about the size of a shoebox, so I decided to turn my spare bedroom into a dressing room/closet/only place to put my treadmill! I have re-organized this room probably 10 times since I moved into my condo and am finally happy with it!

My shoe shelves are Bookcases from Ikea and as you can see, I placed my shoes with one forward and one backwards as it is a huge space saver. I fold my jeans, shorts, and sweaters to have more hanging space and to ensure delicate items do not get hanger damage.

My handbags are NOT organized to save space! I like to see everything so that choosing my outfits for the week (yes I pick out my outfits weekly, I’m a weirdo) is a quick and easy task. I also like to ensure that my handbags keep their shape so I stuff each bag with bubble-wrap. I have these bags displayed on an Ikea shelf.

My dresser is also Ikea and gives me great drawer storage space. My Ikea dressing table is one of my favorite pieces in my house. It offers great space and storage but more importantly, it’s so cute! Ikea outdid themselves with this piece of furniture.

I hope y’all enjoyed today’s post on my favorite room in my house!

XOXO,

Olivia

I found your pins on Pinterest. You have managed to make IKEA furniture look like it’s expensive. Well done! Beautiful job!

I love your dressing room! We just bought a house and I’m making plans to redesign my closet… this is great inspiration!

Question though… do you find that dust gets on your shoes since they are not in boxes?

    Hi Allie!

Yes they get dusty but I like to be able to see them! I usually dust them with a swifter duster about once a week!

Where is the plate/tray (your perfumes are sitting on) from? It’s so pretty! Now I want to put mine on a plate/tray too! Great idea.
